Eyal Levi Is Back with a Duo of CreativeLive Courses, for the Songwriter and Recording Engineer in All of Us

Eyal Levi is a cyborg sent from the future to ensure that you up your musical game. Be it on one side of the recording studio’s glass or the other, or more likely in your home that doesn’t have a sound-proof transparent divider, he and CreativeLive have been dropping knowledge bomb after knowledge bomb to blow your mind. His first courses were Digital Drums with EZ Drummer and Advanced Drum Production. And recently he’s followed them up with Mastering Metal Songwriting, which was about actually getting good at writing the songs, and not applying EQ and multi-band compression to the stereo mix of an album. But now the Daath guitarist and Audiohammer Studios engineer has taken on his most powerful foe yet. Yes, just like Jean-Claude Van Damme in Double Impact, there’s two of them.

In just about a week Eyal will have back to back CreativeLive courses: Metal Drum Programming on July 24th, and Composing Metal Harmonies on July 25th. Both are shorter and cheaper than the average fare from the instructional site, lasting 4 hours and setting your ewallet back 29 bones. So get on that. You’re not going to rip a sick three part lead over some inhuman beat by sitting on your ass, now are you?

Chris Alfano has written about music and toured in bands since print magazines and mp3.com were popular. Once in high-school he hacked a friend's QBasic stick figure fighting game to add a chiptune metal soundtrack. Random attractive people still give him high-fives about that.
