Chris Letchford’s Solo Fusion Material Gets Some Zodiac-tion on EMGtv

Remember when Chris Letchford put out a solo record called Lightbox and said, musically speaking, “I’m making the jazz fusion record that I want to make and if you’re bummed that it doesn’t sound like Scale the Summit then please funnel your tears back down your own throat and choke on them”? Those were good times.

For those of you who mow your grass on the side of the fence that is in favor of Letchford’s non-metal instrumentalism, EMG want to reward your devotion. Here’s Chris in the studio, Strandberg guitar in tow, performing his song “Zodiac.”

For more Lightbox playthrough zodiac-tion, follow this link to videos of not just Letchford but his Scale the Summit bass buddy Mark Michell as they perform another track off the album, “The Star Boys.”

Chris Alfano has written about music and toured in bands since print magazines and mp3.com were popular. Once in high-school he hacked a friend's QBasic stick figure fighting game to add a chiptune metal soundtrack. Random attractive people still give him high-fives about that.
