The Dillinger Escape Plan Party Smash the Gear Trade

We’ve been enjoying the content from Party Smasher Inc, an outlet created by Ben Weinman of the Dillinger Escape Plan and maintained by Weinman and several of his collaborators and friends, since they got kick-started into high gear last year. For the last few months, the imprint has functioned mostly as a forum for op-eds, interviews, and a funnel for DEP-releases, but an Instagram photo posted last night to Party Smasher’s account shows that they may be dipping its toes into the instrument manufacturing game.

According to the post, the company will release two cabinets, which will come in guitar (PS312, 3×12 + 1×15) and bass (PSB610, 6×10) models respectively. It remains to be seen whether Party Smasher will put its stamp on any other music gear – cabs are a great place to start though, and significantly less of a headache to figure out how to manufacture.

Check one out below. I love the design – it’s got kind of a classic Fender meets Emperor look to it. Just in time too, as I’ve been in the market for a new, durable cabinet. You can be sure that the guys in Dillinger know all about what is and isn’t durable when it comes to gear…
