PAARIS Stream New Exclusive Track “2020” From Upcoming EP

Los Angeles-based progressive rock and metal guitarist Marquez Paris, otherwise known by his solo act PAARIS, has been preparing for the release of his upcoming EP Nora, set to drop on April 17th, 2020. In anticipation of the release and to give you a taste of what’s to come, we’ve teamed up with the talented shredder to bring you this exclusive track premiere for the new song “2020”!

If there’s one thing you may know about us, it’s that we love a good melody. So when we first heard “2020”, we knew there was truly something special. So much of modern rock and metal can be dictated by riffs and licks instead of actual good songwriting, but “2020” is here to break the mold. Bubbly synths, bangin’ drums, ripping guitar solos, and overflowing with melodic and harmonic from start to finish, there’s absolutely no way you can get through this track without feeling at least a little better by the end of it. It’s upbeat, fun, ridiculously catchy, and has a ton going on within its three-and-a-half-minute length that once it’s over, you immediately want to go back for more.

From PAARIS:

NORA is a combination of different guitar styles and genres, pivoting from rock to prog, metal, punk, and even flamenco music. This first EP comes with great collaborators and well-known names from the prog and Latin scenes, such as Anup Sastry (Intervals, Monuments), Joey Izzo (Arch Echo), Adam Bentley (Arch Echo), Rudy Pagliuca (Latin Grammy Award Winner producer), Luis “Peep” Mendez and Diego Alvarez (Latin Grammy Awards Winner percussionist).”

Nora drops on April 17th, 2020, so be sure to set a reminder and check it out on Bandcamp and Spotify when it hits digital shelves.
