Kalium are renowned among djenty folk and extended range guitarists and bassists for being a specialized, low-tuning-friendly string company. However, at NAMM this year they were keen to bring everyone’s attention to their bold new bass guitar model – the Quake bass.
Some say it generates bass frequencies so low that the very highest note available to play on the Quake’s fretboard is the ‘brown note’. While others simply say, “Hey, that’s a nice bass.”
