Can A Plugin Make ONE Guitar Sound Like ALL THESE GUITARS? BIAS FX 2’s Guitar Match Feature Explored

Positive Grid is known primarily as a maker of some of the earliest mobile guitar amp and effects sims, Jamup Pro and BIAS, back when there was nothing of the kind on the market that was listenable. Since then, they’ve expanded to make not only plugin versions but also hardware such as the BIAS Amp head and rack and effects pedals as well.

Recently, they’ve updated their BIAS FX plugin to BIAS FX 2 which, aside from adding many amp models and effects, also has this insane Guitar Match feature which claims to be able to make a guitar sound like one of 18 guitar models they have in the software. Wizardry? We go deep into the software to find out!

I studied music on both coasts (Berklee and SSU) and now I'm just trying to put my degree to some use. That's a music degree, not an English one. I'm sure you noticed.
