Moonspell guitarist Ricardo Amorim is here to entrance you with a new guitar playthrough for “The Wolf,” one of the emotional centerpieces from their latest album Far From God.
For the playthrough, Amorim kept things simple by relying on the exact equipment he trusts on stage.
“For this playthrough video, I used the same setup that I rely on for my live performances. This rig delivers the sound, reliability, and feel that I look for both in the studio and on stage, making it my go-to setup for recording and live performances alike.”
His setup consists of a Fender Telecaster American Ultra Luxe with Floyd Rose, running into a Fractal FM9 Turbo for amp modeling and effects. A Shure GLXD16+ wireless system handles signal transmission, while Elixir 09–46 strings and Dunlop Jazz III Nylon picks round out the streamlined live rig.
Produced by Jaime Gomez Arellano – whose résumé includes Paradise Lost, Sólstafir, and Ghost – Far From God has been praised for reconnecting with the darker atmosphere of Moonspell’s classic era while delivering a thoroughly modern production.
