Any Tony MacAlpine fans on this site? I have to admit, I’m not the most zealous fan of his style of guitar playing in general, but you cannot deny that the dude seriously rips. With a career spanning over three decades and nearly a dozen solo albums, MacAlpine is certainly in the ranks of the classic 80’s shred-elite, the company that belongs to players like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen, etc. that you guys all beat off to.
The other thing is, MacAlpine really gives those dudes a run for their money when it comes to style, hair, outfits, album layouts, sleeve design, instructional book covers, you name it. I mean like, fuck. I know the bar is pretty high for this era, but check out that wife beater!
