Jayden from Aversions Crown kills it in this “The Soulless Acolyte” Drum playthrough straight from another planet.
Brisbane, Australia’s Aversions Crown are a band who I’ve had my eye on for some time now. Since I first heard and was blown away by their song “Hollow Planet” I’ve had a real interest in them. That song is so damn heavy it literally makes me want to punch a granny in the face, seriously go check it out if you haven’t heard it. Their alien-inspired death metal vibes got me excited, using really nasty and dirty heavy breakdowns with savage blast beats and gutteral vocals. I was stoked for a new album. When the album “Tyrant” finally dropped in 2014 I was impressed, however I felt the album as a whole lacked a certain something special which “Hollow Planet” contained. My body longed for something more, and it wasn’t an anal probe.
The boys are back with a new album entitled “Xenocide” due for release on January 20th on Nuclear Blast and judging by this new tune, this could be the album I wanted back in 2014. Jayden Mason hammers out the band’s new track in this drum playthrough. It’s incredibly fast with sick blast beats all over the place. The kick drums are furious and relentless and there’s also the staple breakdowns that make the band so unbelievably heavy. The way Jayden plays is very relaxed, even though he’s playing some really technical and intricate stuff he makes it look like it’s a walk in the park.
Again they have taken a real space/alien vibe with the lyrics, (go check the full song out) and it’s pretty cool and unique. The lyrics are rather “out there” but the manner in which they are delivered results in some outrageous vocals. This track is really promising. Keep your eyes peeled for the new album which you can pre-order here.
In the meantime, try not to get abducted because you will probably want to hear it.
