For that select group of you in the Venn diagram, those who love Orange, but maybe not orange, do I have the amp for you or what? And by I, I mean Orange and their fine selection of authorized distributors.
Quoth Orange:
“Orange Amplification are launching a limited edition white finish of their Rockerverb guitar amp heads and combos, Thunderverb 200 and 50 heads and legendary PPC412 and the more compact PPC212 Speaker Enclosures.
For a limited time only, these sought after heads and speaker enclosures will be available finished, as never before, in a prestigious white Levant covering trimmed with traditional gold piping and gold capped handles. These elegant amplifiers and cabinets are the ultimate in luxury!”
I’ll admit to being slightly confused by the “as never before” line, since I’ve seen white Orange heads and cabs before, in Monte Pittman’s rig… a Rockerverb 100 even. And I’m pretty sure that’s a PPC412. But maybe he had a one-off custom job that wasn’t available to average blokes like you and me, buddy.
Myself, I’m a fan of the iconic Orange orange, but the white is snazzy, and I suppose that if you play brutal frozen Nordic metal then this color choice might be more appropriate. Or if you have a film projector on you or something. Or if you eat a lot of Italian dinners off of your amps and want every wine and marinara sauce stain memorialized in perpetuity….
Now all this talk of food and orange and white swirls is getting me thirsty for an Orange Julius. Or maybe a delicious Kohr’s Frozen Custard from Seaside Heights, NJ.

Sleep’s ‘Green’ amps are standard Electric Amps heads and cabs, which is essentially a spin from Matamp which was the first to do that kinda stuff, so, these customs aren’t from Orange.
