Musicians Who Love Gambling for Thrills

All types of people from all walks of life enjoy gambling. Still, something is intriguing about famous celebrities putting down money at the casino on games such as blackjack, roulette, poker, or even slots. What makes it such an enthralling topic? Is it the huge amounts of disposable income these people have available to gamble? Or is it all that free time they have? Maybe it’s a combination of both.

One thing that we do know is that musicians tend to deliver one of the most entertaining experiences when it comes to gambling. In fact, the very thought of it has inspired movies, TV shows, and even gambling games, such as the classic collection of music-themed online slot games at Amazon Slots. So, with that in mind, we have put together some of the most famous musicians that have been linked to gambling over the years.

Frank Sinatra

Ol’ Blue Eyes himself is the one musician who instantly springs to mind when it comes to gambling. A close link to Las Vegas was always going to give Sinatra a taste for gambling. How could he not enjoy gambling? Sinatra practically carved out the legend of Las Vegas by himself. To some people, Sinatra WAS Las Vegas. He played countless nights at the casinos. Drove sports cars. Enjoyed a huge entourage of friends and ladies by his side. He had his pick of the tables across the whole strip. He had it all, including links to mob bosses that eventually stripped him of his own casino ownership. See? Sinatra was all about the gambling life and always felt at home at the poker tables.

P Diddy

P Diddy, the rapper and entrepreneur who loves to change his name, has been linked to gambling for several years. So much so that he was invited to not only perform at the opening ceremony of Hurrah’s Resort in Atlantic City but also play the first-ever wagers on the brand-new blackjack tables. That is surely the epitome of mixing business with pleasure for someone who enjoys the classic card game as much as he does. Being a rapper brings a lot of free time, and for someone like P Diddy, winding down at the casino has been one of his go-to ways to relax.

Harry Styles

Harry Styles is the youngest on our list, but those boy band days of touring the globe are long gone. Boys grow up. Harry was always destined for the party life, and he found the US the perfect country to do just that. One of the most standout moments for Harry and his gambling was when he and his One Direction bandmates attempted to enter a casino on the famous Las Vegas strip. Unfortunately, not much gambling was enjoyed due to them being turned away. Harry and the boys did not know the legal gambling age was 21, while they were just fresh-faced and only 18 years old!

Lemmy Kilmister

Gambling and heavy metal. Not essentially two things that need to go together, but Lemmy from Motorhead immortalised those two things in his famous song Ace of Spades. The lyrics, “If you like to gamble, I tell you I’m your man. You win some, lose some, all the same to me,” are now etched into the world of heavy metal forever. While Lemmy loved to drink and play loud music, he also liked to gamble. Card games were clearly a part of this life, but only the die-hard fans know that he also liked to spin the reels on the one-armed bandits when on tour.
