I haven’t seen Adam McKay’s The Big Short yet but I’m excited to – love finance, love the film’s spiritual prequel The Other Guys, and I’ve been hearing good things, including from none other than MetalSucks’ Axl Rosenberg, who called it the “most metal movie of 2015.” What I had no freakin clue about though, was how much heavy metal music is actually in the movie (click the above link), and the extent to which it informed Bale’s character, Dr. Michael Burry.
Well in an interview with Screen Rant, Bale talks about learning to play the drums, what metal bands he listened to, and more. That particular segment begins at around 2:48 of this clip, but the whole thing is pretty interesting. Check it out!
