NAMM 2015 – SARAH LONGFIELD Interview + Performance

Sarah Longfield (of The Fine Constant) is an up-and-comer in the prog metal world, having spent years making YouTube videos playing her 8 string guitars (most recently the Strandberg that she hand painted).

She was performing at the Strandberg booth, so I was lucky enough to catch her performance there and then a quick interview in which she talks about her forthcoming album, and the process of painting her guitar.

As Editor-in-Chief of Gear Gods, I've been feeding your sick instrument fetishism and trying unsuccessfully to hide my own since 2013. I studied music on both coasts (Berklee and SSU) and now I'm just trying to put my degree to some use. That's a music degree, not an English one. I'm sure you noticed.

  • Very cool guitar, and very good player, but I personally am pretty over the new wave of prog metal.
