San Diego death/grind outfit Cattle Decapitation have been in the studio finishing up their new album with producer Dave Otero, who has worked with bands such as Archspire, Allegaeon, and many more! If you saw his last video about recording drums, then it’s no surprise to see just how knowledgeable this guy is and how in-depth these tutorials are. Whether you’re a studio genius yourself or are just interested in the process, Dave summarizes things nicely for just about anyone willing to learn. From the specific bass used, the reamping process, Darkglass pedals used (get a load of that X7!), and the overall bass tone on the album, the dude pretty much covers it all. And that final bass tone they came up with? Aggressive AF.

Be sure to check out his other videos and to subscribe to his YouTube channel here. The studio videos for guitar and vocals are also coming in the near future, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for those as well.
