See that “+ Special Guests” pane on the poster above? Well how’s this for special: Testament’s Chuck Billy is the latest addition to the already awesome lineup of all star metal musicians set to appear at the fifth edition of the Metal Masters clinic. Huzzah! The party commences the night of January 22nd at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA. A very limited number of tickets are still available, so buy yours now before they’re all gone.
The entire performance will be live-streamed in its entirety at our new site Gear Gods, the only website for musicians in the heavy music community. This once-in-a-lifetime event is definitely not something you’ll want to miss.
Incidentally, Billy’s appearance means that five out of the “Big Six” thrash bands will have members in attendance for the jam — that is, if you subscribe to the notion that Testament and Exodus would be the fifth and sixth bands in the thrash pantheon (and why wouldn’t you?). The ultimate irony would be if King, Benante, Ellefson, Holt and Billy got on stage together to play a Metallica song. Tune in on the night of the 22nd… ya never know, it could happen!
But that’s not all! Altitudes and Attitudes — the brand new band featuring Megadeth’s David Ellefson and Anthrax’s Frank Bello — are set to open the show with their first-ever live appearance. The trash legends will be backed by fellow Metal Masters Mike Portnoy and Chris Broderick for a special exclusive performance.
