BILLY RYMER Talks Drum Influences, Practicing, Favorite Albums

In my appreciation of The Dillinger Escape Plan for MetalSucks, one of the aspects of the band I emphasized is how much they constantly push themselves, challenge their own ideas, and focus on self-expression above all.

In my view, the band has become a different beast since bringing Billy Rymer on board. Portuguese website MusicaMob recently posted a nearly hour-long video feature on Billy, in which he discusses his musical upbringing, the writing process in Dillinger, his favorite albums, and more. The last portion is particularly interesting, as Billy breaks down how he conceptualizes the language of the band on drums.
