Rob Scallon loves the contrast of playing metal songs on “non-metal” (what a silly term) instruments. I personally think anything can be metal, if you’re metal. But I also dig the contrast, and I also enjoy goofy shit played really well, so I enjoy Rob Scallon. His originals are also really good, I highly encourage you to check those out on his YouTube channel.
Today we bring you a fun one – and if you don’t have fun, you’ll only have wasted one minute of your time. Rob takes a stab at playing 31 notable riffs and cramming them into a one minute medley. It’s also a kind of demo for the new Bias FX Desktop that came out recently, and he really makes the most of it.

Cool of him to throw in the American Football tune! That album has a ton of original guitar work.

Came here to post this. Maybe it’s just because I listen to more metal than anything else but I feel like it’s an underappreciated gem.

In high school every metal kid agreed that emo was “the enemy” or whatever. Now in my 20s there’s plenty of albums in the genre that I enjoy like the AF album.
