FLUFF’s Lundgren Pickups Shootout

I love pickup shootouts because I find that of all the different parts of your signal chain (aside from your amp), pickups have the greatest variety of tonal flavors. Hearing the exact differences between them, however, is difficult outside of a sterile environment like a good shootout where you can hear them A/B’d one after the other, so I always get giddy with excitement when somebody like Fluff is gonna do it, because I know it’ll get done right.

Lundgren Pickups have been on my radar since I learned that the Ibanez Meshuggah models were using them some years back, although I haven’t had the opportunity to really try them myself. Those crazy Swedes sure know how to make them sound like gold, so maybe there’s something to them. Since then they’ve come out with a slew of different models, and Fluff here is going to show you the tonal differences between three of them – the M6, Hot Heaven, and The One.

As Editor-in-Chief of Gear Gods, I've been feeding your sick instrument fetishism and trying unsuccessfully to hide my own since 2013. I studied music on both coasts (Berklee and SSU) and now I'm just trying to put my degree to some use. That's a music degree, not an English one. I'm sure you noticed.
