This Pedal Turns Your Guitar Sound Into Lightning Bolts

Okay so first off, I fucking want one – but anyhow…

Last year they brought us the fantastically innovative PLUS Pedal, and this year we see yet another mind-blowing product from Gamechanger Audio: the PLASMA Pedal. This high gain distortion pedal not only looks INSANE but it actually employs a pretty innovative take on technology that has been around for a while, but not yet been used for audio.

This pedal takes your guitar signal and converts it into a series of electrical charges that then run through a xenon-filled tube. After running through the electrical explosion tube (or Flux Capacitor, as I like to call it) your guitar sound is then converted back into an analog signal producing a super heavy, fast, and responsive sounding distortion. So in their words you are literally “playing a bolt of lightning.” Pretty dang sweet!

Gamechanger Audio is currently running an Indiegogo campaign on this pedal where you can select from a multitude of pre-order options. Their mission statement on the PLASMA Pedal is as follows:

“Our mission is to create music gear that improves and changes the way people approach and play music. The crazy idea of making the PLUS Pedal is what brought us together almost 3 years ago. After a lot of hard work, we’ve managed to bring PLUS Pedal to musicians all over the world, and now it is time to make PLASMA an even greater success!”
