Carmine Appice is one of the founding fathers of metal and rock drumming, having spent time in Vanilla Fudge, Cactus, Blue Murder, Rod Stewart, and many, many more. Carmine is also a true student of drum history – he cut his teeth studying the recordings of Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, and more (whose legendary jazz drum battles he now recreates in heavy metal settings) – so he’s a real special player to learn from.
