When I think of post-rock, I don’t usually think of amp modellers. (I don’t think of doom metal either, but some people do). Actually, I think of lots of $ spent on names like Emperor, Orange, BadCat, Marshall etc. So I was surprised to see that Boston post rock/ambient/etc upstarts Pray for Sound had dropped a pretty in-depth video for how to achieve great clean tones using the… Axe FX?
Pray for Sound’s guitarist Bruce Malley is the talking head in the clip, which shows off the powers of the Axe FX II. This is a great watch even if you’re not in a post-rock band, because I’m sure some of you could use some more shimmer in your clean tones. Check it out below:
