Today on Trey’s Theory Corner we learn how to analyze diatonic chord progressions using the system of Roman numerals. This is a pretty big, important step in our journey of understanding music, specifically the harmony aspect, because everything you play or sing melodically has to tie into to chords, and all our analysis is based on what the harmonic context is.
