The Ibanez Talman electric guitars were first introduced in 1994 and ran until just 4 years later (they also have an acoustic version that is still made), but due to popular demand, Ibanez has unleashed a new full lineup of them at this year’s Summer NAMM Show.
These Talmans are not quite a reissue – aside from the shape, they are pretty different from the original run, and bear much more of a resemblance to traditional Teles and Strats than their predecessors, which had lipstick pickups, a variety of colorful finishes, and sometimes humbuckers. The new ones are also Prestige instruments, with a price tag to match.
