SUBVERSION – “Entropy” Vocal Playthrough

Normally, though I like the idea of a vocal playthrough, they tend to be the least convincing when mimed, and come off as the cheesiest and least sincere. Perhaps this is because of the close connection each person has to the human voice, and while not everyone plays guitar or drums, everyone talks and hears people talk all day long so it’s easy to spot a fake.

Which is why I found this performance of “Entropy” by UK band Subversion to be much more intriguing to watch and listen to. It’s raw as hell, live vocals in a bedroom, no bullshit, no Autotune, just giving it their all.

This song is from their recent full-length Animi, available now.
