Lots of bands try doing the whole “ambient” thing but few actually get it right. It requires the right balance of melody, space, and rhythm. Glass Lungs definitely strike that balance — sounding dreamy and haunting at the same time. They’ve been making rich soundscapes since 2015 but they ace the sound on their debut album Impermanence.
In this drum playthrough of “Firewalker (Chapter 2)”, Andylove Amato proves that ethereal reverb and blast beats can co-exist. He looks likes he’s having a blast too— smiling and head-banging!
