ANONYMUS Drummer Carlos Araya Thrashes Through “Violencia Versus Violence”

If you need a reason to practice drums today, look no further than Anonymus drummer Carlos Araya. Today we’re premiering Araya’s drum playthrough of “Violencia Versus Violence” off the new Anonymus album La Bestia, and it absolutely shreds.

Araya said this is his first-ever drum playthrough video, throughout which he uses an Orion Series kit from Mapex. Araya uses and Remo Pinstripe heads on his toms, Remo Controlled Sound Reverse Dot Coated Snare Head on the snare, and a Remo Powerstroke 3 Clear on the kick. For sticks, Araya is all about 5b white hickory from Los Cabos.

“I grew up listening to Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Metallica, growing older I got more into heavier bands like Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse, and Carcass,” said Araya of his drum inspirations. “This may seem a bit more obvious with my other band BARF, which is more of a grindcore/ punk music that incorporates more blast beats.”

La Bestia is available here digitally, as well as on CD and vinyl.
