Abasi Concepts is the guitar company started by Animals as Leaders mastermind Tosin Abasi. They are known for the ultra-modern Larada model of guitars as well as the Pathos distortion pedal and they have just this week announced their new Legion Series import line of guitars. I managed to get my grubbies on one and the sheer futuristic quality of the guitar made me think about how far the guitar has come.
So the obvious move was to compare it to the most classic guitar in my library of instruments, probably the most popular electric guitar in the world, the Fender Stratocaster (mine is a Player Series). So in the above video, you’ll hear me rip the same lead part on the two different guitars, over two different styles of backing track – one more classic metal, and one ultra-modern.
