Tim Commerford Has His Own ERNIE BALL MUSIC MAN Bass Now

Tim Commerford, whose chunky tone you know from bands like Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, finally has his own limited-edition Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay bass.

There are a few things that make the Commerford bass unique right off the bat. First is that it’s available in both a regular 34″ scale or a 30″ short-scale, depending on your preference. Then there’s the option for either active or passive electronics, and the individual mute pads that allow you to customize the degree of string dampening to suit your tastes built in to the bridge of each bass. To top things off, there’s also a bridge attached to the back of the bridge pickup, allowing you a little more flexibility on where to rest your finger.

All four Tim Commerford basses include popular vintage appointments with updated modern refinements, as well as an Ash body. Oil and wax maple and roasted maple necks are standard, along with a compensated nut and sculpted 5-bolt neck joint for full access to all 22 stainless steel frets.

Grab one of the four editions here via Ernie Ball Music Man’s website for $2,999.
