The Dean Ukulele ML – A New Level of Adorable

The Dean ML guitar was made popular by Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell and its distinctive body shape will forever be synonymous with him and his legendary shredding and groovy riffs.

The Dean Ukulele ML, on the other hand, is a mahogany bodied (also available with a spruce top) concert uke with a 15 inch scale, a soft v profile set neck and nylon strings in the shape of the aforementioned ML guitar. It has 20 very accessible frets (thanks to the deep cutaways) and comes with a soft padded gig bag.

It also looks METAL AS FUCK, at least as tiny nylon-stringed instruments go. What I wouldn’t give for just 5 minutes alone with one…. Unfortunately it doesn’t appear to have a pickup to make it goddamn electric.

I’m not sure how Dimebag would feel about this, because I unfortunately never got to meet him, but as he is considered to have been one of the very kindest and gentlest of metal personalities, I choose to believe he would get a kick out of it. I suppose it could have made him fucking hostile though.

So if you’re looking to be one of the Cowboys from Hawaii, head over to the Dean Guitars page for more info.

Thanks to PDR for the Cowboys joke.

As Editor-in-Chief of Gear Gods, I've been feeding your sick instrument fetishism and trying unsuccessfully to hide my own since 2013. I studied music on both coasts (Berklee and SSU) and now I'm just trying to put my degree to some use. That's a music degree, not an English one. I'm sure you noticed.
