Holy schnitzel and lederhosen the hype is real. Europe’s biggest power metal band Blind Guardian made the mistake of playing a show near Gear Gods headquarters, and come hell or high water we were gonna shoot them for a Rigged! We’re big fat power prog metal nerds to the core, and these Teutonic terminators don’t come to the US all too often, so we couldn’t possibly miss this opportunity.
Sadly, the band themselves were laid up a bit sick in their hotel rooms (maybe they all had SoCal’s finest Mexican food), so instead we talked to their extremely knowledgable and friendly techs who were more than happy to give us every bitty detail we could wring out of them. Thanks to Willem, Oli, and Hans for helping us out with this and being road warriors and behind the scenes heroes!
