The legendary Glenn Fricker has teamed up with the equally legendary Revv Amplification for a killer new pedal. From the depths of not Sweden comes the brand new Northern Mauler, which emulates that classic Swedish chainsaw tone found in the legendary HM-2.
“I’ve been wanting to mix the Swedish Chainsaw into modern metal tones for quite a while now,” said Fricker of the pedal. “So I reached out to the guys at Revv, & after many months & many revisions, we’ve come up with The Northern Mauler. This combines the best of Revv’s wonderful super-tight metal tones with the out-of-control nastiness of the Chainsaw… & the results are better than I could have hoped for! We even kept the labeling simple so even the bass players could use it!”
The Northern Mauler offers two separate distortions all controlled by two separate sides of the pedal. The HM-2 section is controlled by Bite and Growl knobs while the Revv section offers 3-band EQ Blend, Volume, and Giv’r options to dial things in.
