Steffen Kummerer of Obscura is one of those oddball lead guitarist/vocalists, a guy who plays insane shit while singing and rips solos when he isn’t. The first thing you may notice after that, whilst taking in one of their sick videos is Steffen’s pointier-than-thou shred machine.
Ran Guitars is the builder of this onstage eyeball hazard, and a couple others they’ve made for Steffen. In the video below, he talks about the genesis of the design and how it came to be, guitars he’s had before, and the inverse relationship of looks to tone in guitars.
