Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine and Gibson have had one hell of a year together, most recently with a brand new Flying V and acoustic series. Now it seems like maybe we’re getting one more before the years is out, as Mustaine has begun teasing what appears to be an Explorer body type ready to put his name on.
All we know so far is that there appear to be three colorways coming and that they’ll all feature 24 frets, as Mustaine has described the guitars as the “Dave Mustaine 24 fret Gibson Explorer” models. No word on how James Hetfield feels about this.
