Gibson originally launched their Custom Shop Adam Jones 1979 Les Paul Custom in 2020, which cost anywhere between $5,999 and $9,999 depending on which version you got. So y’know, it ain’t cheap. Then came the production version of the Jones, which wasn’t quite the custom shop version, but still ran $2,999. And now finally it seems we’re getting an Epiphone version of the guitar that will hopefully be somewhere in the three-digit range of prices.
Nothing is exactly known about the guitar right now aside from the fact that it seems to be in the works. Gibson president Cesar Gueikian posted a few videos in his Instagram stories showing off the guitar, though he didn’t really say much about it outside the demoing. So hey – at least we know there’s what seems to be a prototype out there, right?
