Jeff Loomis (Arch Enemy, ex-Nevermore) recently teamed up with Jackson for a new signature model called the Jackson Pro Series Jeff Loomis Signature Soloist SL7, and now Loomis is streaming an incredibly extensive look at the guitar.
The SL7 is a solid black seven-string riff machine with a Basswood body and a sandblasted Ash top, Maple neck with an Ebony fingerboard, and a Floyd Rose FRT-O1500 for stability during all those divebombs. Much like every other Loomis model, the new SL7 comes loaded with Seymour Duncan Blackout humbuckers and is finished in a very natural-looking black. As for electronics configurations, the SL7 simply has one Volume knob toward where the input jack is, and a pickup selector. In the end, the new SL7 is a stripped-down metal machine.
The Jackson Pro Series Jeff Loomis Signature Soloist SL7 is available here for $1,599.99.
