GIBSON Brings Back Classic Faded Electric And Acoustic Models

Gibson is bringing back their classic Faded line, which includes six brand new(ish) models. They are:

The Les Paul Standard 50s Faded offers a Mahogany body with AA Figured Maple top and a Satin Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish, as well as a Rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge. The Les Paul Standard 50s Faded comes loaded with two Burstbucker pickups and is available here for $2,499 in Vintage Honey Sunburst. There’s also a 60s model available in Vintage Cherry Sunburst, with the difference being the finish and the 60s Burstbucker pickups.

Then there’s the SG Standard ’61 Faded Maestro Vibrola, which offers a Mahogany body and Rosewood fretboard with 22 frets along with a ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and Maestro Vibrola tailpiece. The SG Standard ’61 Faded Maestro Vibrola comes with two 60s Burstbucker pickups and is available here for $2,199.

And finally there are the three acoustics – the J-45 50s Faded, the J-35 30s Faded, and the Hummingbird Faded. All three come with Mahogany back and sides along with a Sitka Spruce top, with the J-45 and J-35 offering more classic looks and going for $2,499 and $2,199, while the Hummingbird has that classic look you’ve seen about a million times over the years and is available here for $3,499.
