FENDER’s New Player Plus Series Has Some Pretty Wild Colors

It’s time for a handful of new Fender guitars and basses, and in some pretty cool colors. As for the actual instruments, you know what you’re getting into at this point.

First up are the Player Plus Stratocasters, available in both SSS- and HSS-configurations. The Player Plus Strats feature C-shape necks with rolled edges and 22 frets, with the HSS-configuration also boasting a 2-point Tremolo with block steel saddles. The Player Plus Strats offer Player Plus Noiseless single coil pickups with push-pull tone pots, while the HSS features a Player Plus humbucker with a coil-split option.

The SSS Player Plus Strats are available in Three-Color Sunburst, Olympic Pearl, Aged Candy Apple Red, Tequila Sunrise, and Opal Spark finishes starting at $999. The HSS is available in Three-Color Sunburst, Belair Blue, Cosmic Jade, and Silverburst for $1,029.

Then there are the Player Plus Telecaster and Player Plus Nashville Telecaster. Both offer C-shape necks with 22 frets and rolled edges, with the former coming equipped with the standard Telecaster pickup configuration and the latter offering an additional middle single-coil pickup. Both come with push-pull tone switches, with the Nashville having the extra Player Plus Strat pickup in the middle.

The Player Plus Telecaster is available in Three-Color Sunburst, Cosmic Jade, Silver Smoke, and Aged Candy Apple Red finishes for $999. The Player Plus Nashville Telecaster is available in Three-Color Sunburst, Butterscotch Blonde, Opal Spark, and Aged Candy Apple Red finishes for $1,029.

Plus, there are the basses! There’s the Player Plus Active Precision Bass, which offers a Jazz Bass single-coil pickup in the bridge and and a classic P-Bass pickup in the center. The bass features a three-band EQ and, as you might’ve guessed by now, the bass also features C-shape neck with rolled edges.

The Player Plus Active Precision Bass is available in Silver Smoke, Cosmic Jade, Three-Color Sunburst, and Olympic Pearl finishes for $1,049.

Finally, the Player Plus Active Jazz Bass and Jazz Bass V offer the same neck as the Precision Bass, though obviously with a set of Jazz Bass pickups in the bridge and center. The Jazz Bass and Jazz Bass V come in four- and five-string configurations, both also faturing the three-band EQ.

The Player Plus Active Jazz Bass is available in Three-Color Sunburst, Olympic Pearl, Belair Blue, and Aged Candy Apple Red finishes for $1,099. The Jazz Bass V comes in Three-Color Sunburst, Cosmic Jade, Opal Spark, and Tequila Sunrise finishes for $1,149.
