You may know guitarist Poh Hock from his work in bands like Native Construct and Replacire, but the young musician is about to drop his first-ever solo EP ĀTMA on March 8th of this year! And to tide you over in the meantime, he’s just dropped his latest song “Akasha” (the fourth track from the upcoming EP) only right here, on Gear Gods!
Once again, Poh Hock has come up with an incredibly composed song that is both awe-inspiringly melodic and jaw-droppingly crushing. This is truly progressive music, incorporating sounds and effects that I have not heard in this genre of music for quite some time. And even though Poh Hock is a guitar player, his music does not come across as “music for guitarists”, but rather something that I’m sure music fans from any walk of life will find inspiration from.
