Last year, Slate Digital came out of nowhere with the incredible Virtual Microphone System. If you’re unfamiliar, it’s a friggin’ ingenious idea. Basically it involves a hyper-transparent microphone and mic pre to capture the sound, that then allows a plugin to inject the sonic features of any world-class mic right onto your audio. It’s kinda like the Axe-Fx/Kemper of studio mics.
Now they’ve built a whole high-end interface around that idea, and they’ve added a small diaphragm option too. Welcome to the future, friend.
Slate Digital are kicking ass and taking names over here.
