If you’ve ever played a drum with an actual animal skin head, you know it’s quite an experience. As one of my music teachers told me in middle school, “you’re working with the spirit of a dead creature.”
So maybe you don’t want to be messing around with the dead, but you enjoy the sound of a calfskin head.
