A SENSE OF GRAVITY – “Echo Chasers” Music Video Exclusive Premiere

We have been known to post a playthrough or two in our day, and some of them are much closer to being music videos than anything else. We’ve also posted music videos that are basically just playthroughs, with nothing really going on other than some people playing their instruments.

This video from A Sense of Gravity is a true music video – although it starts out looking like it’ll be just another “dudes in a room” video, it quickly changes to include things like some choreographed dance moves (some kind of mosh ballet, not by any of the members of the band), flashy camera work, and a loose concept holding the whole thing together – it’s just like the 90’s again!

Only this time, the music is dense prog metal in the vein of Textures or BTBAM, with a little bit of Dream Theater thrown in for good measure. The song in question, “Echo Chasers”, is from the band’s forthcoming album Atrament, out November 18th (pre-orders here) which the band will be touring in support of.

As Editor-in-Chief of Gear Gods, I've been feeding your sick instrument fetishism and trying unsuccessfully to hide my own since 2013. I studied music on both coasts (Berklee and SSU) and now I'm just trying to put my degree to some use. That's a music degree, not an English one. I'm sure you noticed.
