You’re probably fucking crazy if you’re not excited for the new Star Wars movie. But just in case you’re some kind of jaded elitist, keep in mind that JJ Abrams is objectively more talented than any filmmaker who’s ever attempted one of these movies, that it was all shot on 35mm film (with the exception of a chase sequence shot in 70mm), and that JJ drew inspiration from John Ford, Terrence Malick, and Akira Kurosawa. I mean, c’mon.
