Back in May, we shared with you Krzysztof Słowikowski‘s playthrough of Mega Man X2’s soundtrack on guitar while live-streaming the actual game. You guys went ballistic for it – I mean c’mon, how often do your obvious interests of classic video games and tapping, sweeping, and shredding cross paths?
So Słowikowski is back with a fresh cut of Mega Man 1, which he deftly handles both on the controller and on the axe. Kudos to the dude – given that he re-records the entire soundtrack, this must have taken a ton of time to put together! This are really great, and amplify my already-high respect for composer Manami Matsumae’s melodies, compositions, and musical ideas. Enjoy:
