You’re in for a treat, as the Yatin Srivastava Project (headed by the Indian composer of the same name) is releasing their debut album on May 25th. In order to get the hype train moving for Chaos // Despair, Yatin has given us a guitar playthrough of “Alive”, the first single from the album. Yatin proudly jams out on his PRS guitar and delivers progressive goodness to your ears. It really is an earworm! Also, I love his shirt.

Chaos // Despair has been in the works for almost 2 years and has diverse cast of musicians behind it. From the Indian music industry Dhruv Visvanath, Kunal Singh, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya and Arjun Mathur . That’s just to name a few! Among the more familiar are Craig Blundell (Steven Wilson) and Bruce Soord (The Pineapple Thief). With Yatin mixing and Ermin Hamidovic mastering (Periphery, Architects, Sikth, and Devin Townsend), this album promises to sound grand.

If you like progressive music and are looking for something exciting, this is definitely a group to watch out for! Yatin gives insights to his approach to guitar and recording in Part 1 of “The Making of Chaos // Despair.” Watch out for part 2 and pre-order the album here.
