In the mood for something gloomy and angry? Well, look no further. Sacramento hardcore legends Will Haven are here with another noisy blend of metal and atmosphere! Their new album Muerte is raw hardcore goodness and is sure to soothe the beast in all of us. For proof, watch this exclusive drum playthrough of “The Son.”

Boy, this really scratched an itch for me. The foreboding and sinister vibe makes for a good companion to the heavier hardcore elements. Mitch Wheeler’s drive and energy behind the kit help pull us through the noise and keeps your head banging. This would also be a good time to mention that in addition to some killer guest spots, this album was recorded in secret. From minus HEAD:

Throughout 2017, the members of Will Haven secretly recorded Muerte at Pus Cavern Studios in Sacramento, CA with Joe Johnston engineering and co-producing alongside [Jeff] Irwin. They pieced together a corrosive, chaotic, and cohesive vision that never relents over its 11 tracks. Mastering was handled by Logan Mader (Devil You Know, Fear Factory, Periphery). In addition to the writing/performance collaboration with Stephen Carpenter on “El Sol”, the sludgy track “No Escape” features the haunting contributions of yet another guest, YOB vocalist/guitarist Mike Scheidt.

For more gloomy and metallic goodness, be sure to check out Muerte from minus HEAD Records, available on iTunes, Amazon, Bandcamp, and Spotify.
