Anyone here a fan of Toronto’s power metal-via-melodic-death-metal band Crimson Shadows? Last year, the boys dropped their debut Napalm Records release Kings Among Men which is basically the exact kind of album title you’d want a band like that to come up with.

Drummer Cory Hofing is not squid when it comes to this type of music, which requires laser-precise blast beats for the brutal parts and classic kick-snare beats for the Iron Maiden/power-y parts. In other words, this band packs serious meat and potatoes drumming – no more, no less.
