You may not be familiar with the music of YouTube guitarist Stash Wyslouch, but all that’s about to change because he has dropped one of the hottest covers of a metal song we’ve heard in a very, very long time. The dude gives his all in this folky, bluegrass cover of Morbid Angel’s “Eyes to See, Ears to Hear”. Yeah, you read that right, but it might make for sense if you just go ahead and watch the video. We’ll be waiting right here.
Wow, art, right? In all seriousness, I’d be lying if I didn’t say that this is actually sick. Obviously, it’s an unexpected and wacky take on a classic death metal tune, but it’s clear that the dude knows what he’s doing. The sense of humor, the showmanship, the editing: it’s all here! And don’t think for a SECOND that we don’t notice that legitimately impressive right-hand technique. Tremolo for days.
