Did You Know Orange Amps Has A New Guitar Pedal?

This one flew by me for a while, but it’s too interesting not to share. Orange, makers of the cutest guitar amps to deck the halls of Guitar Center and provide a backdrop for Matt Pike’s chest hair, have released their first guitar pedal since the 1960’s, the Bax Bangeetar, a pretty reasonably priced pre-eq.

This is an interesting move for them – you might expect some kind of Orangey fuzz pedal – especially for their first foray into the pedal game. Mainly because most guitarists don’t necessarily need that much control over eq which they couldn’t already control with a good amplifier. But maybe Orange are aiming at two different markets: people who don’t own a good amp and could therefore use additional eq sculpting tools, and people who do own a nice amp but want additional options that they can dial in from their pedalboard.
