OLA ENGLUND Amicably Splits with WASHBURN, Starts Own Guitar Company

One of my all-time top favorite Swedes (the list is long) made a huge announcement the other day!

It’d probably be best for him to explain the nitty-gritty of the whole deal, but it goes a lil’ something like this:

  • He’s had a line of signature guitars with Washburn for some time now.
  • They’re dope and basically represent everything he (we) wants and needs out of a high-performance, cost-effective metal guitar…
  • …it’s rad when someone/thing/faceless GiganCorp with capital invests in your vision and successfully brings it to life.
  • But!

What would happen if you owned a friggin’ company? It sounds like Ola asked himself that very question and went ahead and took the plunge to find out firsthand. The current details are understandably sparse, but the bottom line stands: Ola Englund is starting his own guitar brand.

I repeat, Ola Englund is starting his own guitar brand. Let’s gooooo! (All I ask is the lefties get plenty of love.)
