It’s been trendy for a while now for young bands to play Orange amplifiers, but what’s interesting about Red Fang is that, as older guys, they come from the generation of metal fans that first became aware of the amplifiers through seeing bands like Sleep play live in the early 1990’s (the band were voracious collectors of vintage Orange amps, and actually put in the liner notes of Holy Mountain contact information for other collectors reach out to them about selling or trading Orange).
And that’s evident from Orange’s interview with the boys in Red Fang, who clearly have a bit more of a personal connection to the amplifiers than your average player. Check it out below:
